Compliance and Anti-Theft Policy
At Cats Plus Converters, Inc., we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethical business practices and responsibility, not just towards our clients, but also within the catalytic converter industry. Our active engagement with industry associations at the state, regional, and federal levels reflects our dedication to work alongside law enforcement and legislatures to pass effective laws against catalytic converter theft.
We implement industry best practices, such as the “Know Your Customer” policy and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) documentation. We pride ourselves on our thorough onboarding process to ensure we engage only with legitimate businesses. As part of this process, we may require your business license, valid photo IDs of all business owners, and carry out an Anti-Money Laundering Screening (AML) to preclude clients with any history of financial crimes.
Our zero-tolerance policy for theft and the attempted sale or unlawful purchase of stolen converters is uncompromising. We welcome clients who lawfully sell catalytic converters and possess proper documentation. Be aware that we will ask questions about your business practices to ascertain your commitment to the legal purchase and documentation of converters.
As a client of Cats Plus Converters, Inc., you’ll receive receipts for catalytic converter purchases that contain all required data, including individual converter identification, time and date stamps, business information for both parties, type of payment, and totals. In some states, we are obliged to obtain fingerprints, images, or video of the individual or the transaction, including license plates and images of vehicles if required.
We understand the importance of staying compliant with evolving state laws and regulations. Once onboarded as a client, we offer guidance on these regulations and direct you to appropriate resources. We assist you with compliance and data recording, helping you store proof of each transaction and client.
Our aim at Cats Plus Converters, Inc. is to keep our industry clear of negative and false impressions surrounding catalytic converters. We strive to prevent unlawful sales while aiding those committed to proper purchasing within legal boundaries. We are dedicated to contributing to the legislation that allows the catalytic converter market to prosper.
